We're here!! Well. We're here in St. Louis, anyway. The baggage is checked in, the passports have been scanned, we have our boarding passes, and WE'RE WAITING FOR OUR PLANE at gate C8!!! So close to the plane we can almost taste it--after three years of fundraising, planning, saving, and dreaming, we're ready to go!! (Although tasting planes is probably not advised . . . . )
We take off in one hour on a flight to North Carolina, and then on to Barcelona, so now, we wait. I've had my exorbitantly expensive airport panini (in anticipation of my Italy diet, obvi), splurged on my Dr. Pepper of the day, and now I allow my electronics to charge up in this VERY convenient plug-in adjacent chair and wait for our flight to be called.
Stay tuned for further news, but if every transportation event goes as easily as this one did, we're a blessed bunch!
